Everyone knows what pregnancy is, but we do a poor job preventing unwanted pregnancy. How to get Pregnant is simple: A Woman can get pregnant through unprotected sex with a Man. That's it. That's all it takes and it can happen on the first try. So, if you are not actually trying to get pregnant, then you should take action to prevent it. But that's a different article. On with this one... Pregnancy SymptomsThe bottom line you probably want to know is.... Am I Pregnant? As mentioned above, if you've had sex, it's possible. Even with the use of contraceptives, it's still possible. Symptoms of pregnancy are pretty variable, so you could have very few symptoms or you could have all of these.
Early symptoms include:
Aside from "Missing your Period", it's not a very distinctive list, so people have to resort to a Pregnancy Test to find out whether or not they are pregnant. Pregnancy TestsHome pregnancy tests are a common and easy way to determine whether you are, in fact, pregnant. These tests check for a certain hormone in your urine. This hormone is only present if you are pregnant, and so it is a good test. However, you should be aware that there are some limitations. It takes some time before the test can accurately detect a pregnancy. If you test yourself too early, then you could get negative ("Not Pregnant") result even though you really are. In general, kits will recommend testing the first day of your missed period. But be aware that there is a chance you'll miss the pregnancy if you test too early. If you still think you could be pregnant even after a negative ("Not Pregnant") test result, you should take another test in a week. Doctor's offices tend to have more sensitive tests and get detect pregnancy at an earlier time. Related Site: Storkin.com - Pregnancy and Baby Community |
